There was improvement Wednesday for Kanawha County on the latest color-coded alert map. Kanawha County shifted from yellow to green, while Mingo County joined Wyoming County in the red. The latest map from the state Department of Health and Human Resources also showed that Putnam County had moved from green to yellow. Cabell County remained in yellow. Five counties were in orange – Wayne, Monroe, Braxton, Morgan and Berkeley. Seven counties were in gold – Lincoln, Logan, Boone, Mercer, Clay, Marshall and Jefferson. As of now, trick-or-treating will be allowed in Kanawha County based on the map.
