Roane County voters are deciding on three levies this election, including one that funds the fire departments, ambulance service and libraries. The levy needs 60 percent approval to be renewed for the next four years. Over the summer, Roane County EMS and Roane General Hospital canceled a contract, which put funding in jeopardy for the EMS department. If the service is forced to cut an ambulance, response times could suffer. The new levy would bring about a $1 increase per month per household across Roane county.
