Police are investigating after a man was shot on Charleston’s West Side Thursday morning. Metro 911 dispatchers said it happened around 3 a.m. near the intersection of Grant Street and Glenwood Avenue. Charleston police found shell casings on Glenwood Avenue and officers said they found a trail of blood leading to a black sedan, which is part of their investigation. The man who was shot was taken to the hospital after being shot in the leg. Kanawha County deputies are assisting in the investigation.
