A former state health officer for West Virginia is now part of President-elect Joe Biden’s transition team. Dr. Rahul Gupta will be leading the transition over the Office of National Drug Control Policy.
He currently serves as the senior vice president and chief medical and health officer of March of Dimes. Gupta first began his role in West Virginia as the director of the Kanawha-Charleston Health Department and helped to oversee the county’s response to the 2014 water crisis.
