Volunteers with the annual Frank Veltri Thanksgiving dinner won’t be able to serve food the same way in person this year, so they prepared meals to be delivered. Six hundred food bags were prepared last Thursday and Friday, and delivered to those in need on Saturday. Volunteers will hold a smaller in person meal on Thanksgiving day, serving 550 people. Feeding America says more than 13% of people in Kanawha County have struggled with food insecurity this year. The annual dinner has been going on since 1966.
