Teams in Orange or Red Counties Could Still Play in the Postseason

The West Virginia Secondary School Activities Commission has adjusted its stance slightly on the high school football playoffs. Teams from orange and red counties will now be included in the initial playoff fields. The counties of those teams will have to be green, yellow or gold in the Saturday, Nov. 14, school re-entry map update. If they are eligible after that, then they can play on Sunday.
If a team from an orange or red county qualifies for the playoffs, but remains orange or red, the game will be forfeited and their opponent will move on to the next Teams that are in green, yellow or gold counties will follow the state’s tradition playoff schedule and play either Friday or Saturday.
