Winter Storm Watch is Issued for Wednesday

The National Weather Service has issued a winter storm watch for southern and southeast West Virginia Wednesday morning through late Wednesday night. The weather service reports heavy mixed precipitation is possible with total snow accumulations of two to five inches, and ice accumulations up to a tenth of an inch is possible.

The watch is in effect for Kanawha, Mingo, Logan, Boone, Clay, Braxton, Lewis, McDowell, Wyoming, Upshur, Barbour, northwest Raleigh, southeast Raleigh, northwest Fayette, southeast Fayette, northwest Nicholas, southeast Nicholas, northwest Webster, southeast Webster, southeast Pocahontas and northwest Randolph.
