The Mountaineers will play football on New Year’s Eve. The Liberty Bowl announced that West Virginia will represent the Big 12 in the game Dec. 31 at 4 p.m. ET at Liberty Bowl Memorial Stadium in Memphis. This will mark the third appearance for the Mountaineers in the Liberty Bowl, and their first since 2014. Tennessee withdrew from the game, and Army has been announced as WVU’s new opponent.
