Seniors trying to make an appointment to receive the COVID-19 vaccine overloaded the Kanawha-Charleston Health Department’s call center. People were left on hold for hours, disconnect, or unable to get through at all. There is not enough vaccine to meet the demand, and the health department only takes calls when appointments are available.
