Former Mayor is Moving Downtown

Former Charleston mayor Danny Jones is downsizing. Jones served four terms as the mayor of the capital city, and announced on his Facebook page that he’s trading in his five-bedroom, seven bath, 7,355-square-foot South Hills home for a downtown apartment. Jones said he will moving to Atlas apartments on Quarrier Street, which is the same street where he now operates Danny’s BBQ stand. His house on Loudon Heights Road has an estimated value of more than $734,000, according to Zillow. Jones retired from public office in 2019. He opened Danny’s BBQ Stand a year ago.
