Marshall University decided not to renew the contract of head football coach Doc Holliday. The news follows three losses at the end of the Thundering Herd’s football season, including the loss on Christmas Day to Buffalo in the Camellia Bowl. Marshall finished the season at 7-3 and lost the Conference USA championship game to the UAB Blazers. Holliday recorded 85 wins at Marshall, including three straight seasons with 10 or more victories from 2013 to 2015.
