Vandals heavily damaged a high school baseball field after a fence had been removed to help with construction of a locker room clubhouse. Tire tracks as much as 4 inches deep were left in the grassy areas of the baseball field at Spring Valley High School in Huntington and a sprinkler system was damaged.
The fence was down to allow concrete to be poured, and that’s how the vandals entered the field. Thousands of dollars will be required to make the field playable again.
