WV Health Right Turns Homes Over to a Developer

It was announced this week that a handful of abandoned properties in Charleston, two of which recently caught fire, are no longer owned by West Virginia Health Right. Chief executive officer Dr. Angie Settle said on Facebook that the organization is no longer the owner of properties on Jackson Street and those structures have been legally deeded to a developer. Settle said they plan on keeping an evening security guard until the two empty apartment buildings are demolished in the coming weeks. The developer has promised to remodel, repair and restore the homes.
