Huntington is Getting FEMA Money for Vaccine Response

The Federal Emergency Management Agency awarded the Cabell-Huntington Health Department with $1.07 million dollars to assist in its vaccine distribution plan. This is all part of President Joe Biden’s plan to enlist the help of FEMA nationwide to help with vaccine clinics. The Cabell-Huntington Health Department plans to use the money to prepare with more equipment, more supplies and more manpower, and be ready when more vaccines become available. The department operates two sites in Huntington and one in Milton and the goal for Febraury is to cover at least 20 lanes of cars and vaccinate 1,500 a day.
