State Lawmakers Are Back, With Protocols in Place

COVID-19 has forced lawmakers to adapt for the 2021 West Virginia Legislative session. Both the House and Senate have face mask mandates, and fewer people will be in both chambers. The House is giving delegates the option of sitting in chambers or in a gallery to social distance. Everyone is screened at each entrance, in addition to metal detector checks. No guests or spectators are allowed during sessions. Media are only allowed in galleries above the chambers. Both the House and Senate began the 2021 session yesterday.
