Zoom Meeting Will Give Kids and Parents The Chance To Talk About School Issues

Parents and kids have a chance to talk more about the effects of COVID-19 and schooling this week. Hearts United, Inc. and the City of Charleston are partnering to host a Youth Mental Health Forum this Saturday, February 20 from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. via Zoom. The founder of Hearts United, Inc. is Jahari Barron, a sixth-grader at Horace Mann Middle School. He thinks kids could use help dealing with isolation which can cause symptoms of anxiety and depression. The city says experts that will take questions during the forum on dealing with anxiety and uncertainty as the pandemic continues.
