Efforts Continue to Vaccinate Those 65 And Older

Even as West Virginia continues to lead the nation in COVID-19 vaccine distribution and expands vaccine prioritization to 50 and older, there are many residents 65 and older still waiting to get their first shot. Senior citizens who have been on the reserved list for three weeks and still have not been contacted have been told to call the vaccine hotline to help speed up the process. Eyewitness News said there is a current effort to improve customer service and make sure everyone is contacted. According to the state’s coronavirus website, West Virginia has administered more than 312,000 COVID vaccine doses to residents 65 and older.
