I-64 Projects May Slow Down Drivers

Construction projects increase during spring and summer, and I-64 be a focus point. The interstate is in the midst of its Barboursville Widening Project now and it will last three more years, and the Nitro-St. Albans Improvement Project will be underway soon. The West Virginia Division of Highways is sending the reminder to slow down in construction zones. The state has had more than 1500 accidents in the past five years in construction zones, and speeders have been clocked going as fast as 115 mph in work zones. Enforcement patrols are planned.
