Marshall University to Add New Welding Program

Marshall University will get over $336,000 from the federal government for education and training in advanced welding for manufacturing and other industries. The Robert C. Byrd Institute at Marshall University will have a new program for hands-on training in advanced welding and at least 18 students will find employment and 35 workers or trainees will advance their careers, according to the Appalachian Regional Commission. The funding comes from the commission and U.S. Department of Energy.
