Firefighters worked to put out a house fire in the Coopers Creek area early yesterday. The fire was reported around 5:20 a.m. Monday at Kermit Lane on Coopers Creek Road in Coopers Creek. Neighbors at the scene said no one was at the home when the fire broke out because the people who had lived there moved out about one month ago. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
