Charleston police are investigating a shooting that happened last weekend. WCHS TV said one man died on Charleston’s West Side after the shooting at around 3:45 a.m. Sunday at an apartment complex on Crescent Road. George Scott Bishop was shot multiple times inside his apartment, and that marked the fourth deadly shooting in Charleston in the last three weeks. The deadly gun violence spree started with the murder of 18-year-old student athlete, KJ Taylor, who was shot and killed April 7 on Central Avenue. Two days later, Chastanay Joseph was shot and killed near the Vista View apartments in Charleston. Her three-year-old daughter was wounded in that shooting. On April 22, Charles, ‘CJ’. Thaxton was shot and killed on the West Side. Police said the shooting possibly happened because of an argument over methamphetamine. The investigations are continuing.
