Plastics Company Will Create High-Paying Jobs

A Florida company is setting up shop in Lawrence County, Ohio, investing $360 million in a plastics recycling facility. PureCycle Technologies is renovating three buildings on 23 acres near Ironton that will serve as the company’s North America Operations Center. WCHS TV reported the project will also create more than 50 jobs in technology and engineering. They’ll mainly make medium grade plastics and recycle them and the finished product is a pure plastic. When finished, the Ironton facility will produce more than 105 million pounds of ultra-pure recycled polypropylene per year. Construction on the new plant is expected to be finished in 18 months.
