High school graduations in Kanawha County are in full swing, and a celebration is planned in Charleston to recognize students’ accomplishment and to have some fun. Charleston Parks and Recreation said a Senior Graduation Celebration is set Saturday, May 22, at Magic Island. Hours are 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Organizers said there will be a D.J., food and prizes to help members of the Class of 2021 celebrate. Graduations kick off next week and all ceremonies except Nitro take place at the Charleston Coliseum and Convention Center.
Herbert Hoover and Capital HIgh graduate Monday, May 24th. George Washington and St. Albans will hold graduations May 25th, and Sissonville and Riverside on the 26th. May 27th the Coliseium and Convention Center will host the South Charleston graduation. Nitro High School will hold its graduation May 29th at the Nitro High fooball field.
