Man is Charged in the Stabbing Death of his Fiancee

A man charged with first-degree murder in Charleston told emergency dispatchers that he was in a physical altercation with his fiancée and stabbed her in the neck. Michael Fleming Jr. of Charleston was charged with first-degree murder after the fatal stabbing of Virginia Bradford Wednesday morning at a home on Sunset Drive. Bradford died from her wounds at the scene. Fleming had a single puncture wound to the top of one of his hands, and he was treated at the scene. Police said the two had been living together and have a 5-month-old child.
