Popular lakes in the area are now charging, or will soon charge people to swim in them. Summersville Lake, which has never had a charge, will now cost adults five dollars a day per adult, and three dollars per child. Those fees went into effect in early June. Sutton Lake will join Summersville Lake with fees next May and it will cost beachgoers and boaters five dollars to enter. The corp says there are affordable options. An annual pass cost forty dollars and gives you access to all recreational areas managed by the corp. There is also their Federal Pass Program.
