Court records said the chief of the Summers County Fire Department has been charged with child pornography. Brian Cale of Hinton faces multiple charges, according to a criminal complaint filed Tuesday in Summers County Magistrate Court. The complaint said explicit Snapchat messages were involved and the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children flagged several photos linked to Cale’s Snapchat account. Cale is being held at Southern Regional Jail on a $100,000 surety/cash bond. West Virginia State Police conducted the investigation.
