Police in Wheeling are renewing a plea for help from the public in connection with a 2018 investigation that involved two dismembered bodies found in Raleigh County. Trevor Vossen and Lauren Jenkins, who was pregnant at the time, were reported missing in August 2018. Their dismembered remains were found two weeks later along Sullivan Road in rural Raleigh County. Investigators believe the two were lured into a house in Wheeling, murdered and their bodies dismembered before being dumped in Raleigh County. A person of interest in the case, Gerald Wayne Jako Jr. has since been convicted in a separate crime and is serving 100 years in prison.
