A Williamson nurse who made headlines after she traveled to New York to help treat COVID-19 patients was found not guilty in connection with a shooting. The Mingo County Circuit Clerk’s Office said Amy Thorn, also known as Amy Ford, was found not guilty of a malicious assault charge in connection with shooting last October. Williamson Police Chief Grady Dotson said Thorn shot the woman in the abdomen and claimed the shooting was self-defense.
