Logan County fire departments are under criminal investigation. The Prosecuting Attorney said it relates to the potential mishandling of money related to findings in a 2020 legislative audit report. A review showed the Logan County Station No. 2 at Man was not in compliance with state code. The Gazette-Mail reported more than $69,000 of the department’s funds were in question, either for purposes that weren’t in compliance with code, or the supporting documentation was lacking. Several Logan County fire departments in addition to Man are being investigated now.
