Carter Bank & Trust is going after Governor Jim Justice and First Lady Cathy Justice for 58-million-dollars based on guarantees they personally signed. The bank has filed claims over millions of dollars based on recent defaults of The Greenbrier Sporting Club and Oakhurst Club. The Justice companies have filed a countersuit against the bank, claiming the financial relationship grew toxic and the bank wouldn’t cooperate on refinancing loans coming due on the Greenbrier properties.
