The charity known as the Long Live Will Washburn Foundation held it’s inaugural charity golf tournament in May at Sleepy Hollow Golf Club in Hurricane, and they’ve got another event coming up in September. The foundation will host 5k, 10k, or Half Marathon races in Will’s honor on September 25th. Registration is open now. The organization says it formed to support and acknowledge individuals that possess similar characteristics of Will Washburn: faith, kindness, compassion, dedication, scholastics, talent, and athleticism. Will was an 8th grader who collapsed at his home and died in April of 2020.
