Jackson County deputies say two men have been arrested after items valued at more than $80,000 were reported stolen. Galen Cochran and Jerry Smith, both of Liberty, were arrested. Deputies said they recovered three Polaris Ranger double seat side-by-sides, one 12-foot tandem axle utility trailer and one industrial pull-behind welder/generator combo. Deputies said the items were found with the two suspects within 24 hours of them being reported stolen in the Fairplain area. The investigation spanned across both Jackson and Putnam counties.
