Charleston Cinema Reopens For a Full Season

Visitors will be required to show proof of vaccination and wear masks when the West Virginia International Film Festival reopens its independent theater in Charleston. The film festival made the announcement this week about the Floralee Hark Cohen Cinema, located in the basement of the art gallery of Taylor Books on Capitol Street. Film festival officials said the cinema will reopen Sept. 1 for a full season of film. They said they have not been able to do normal programming at the theater for 16 months due to the pandemic.
