Health Officials Monitor More Than 100 Delta Variant Cases in the State

West Virginia health officials reported active coronavirus cases in the state were more than 4,000 on Monday. The state Department of Health and Human Resources reported seven new COVID-19 deaths in the latest update and 1,037 new positive cases. Active cases were at 4,010. The deaths included two from Putnam County and two from Fayette County. There were 129 confirmed cases of the Delta variant in the state as of Friday morning, and that was the most recent data.
