Lincoln County school administrators said a virtual school option is available for students in grades sixth through 12th. The school system said in a Facebook post that there will be a required parent and student orientation meeting that will be held in August at a date and time to be announced soon. Students also will be required to complete a virtual school student boot camp. Teachers will oversee student progress and meet with parents periodically. The deadline to register for the virtual school option is 4 p.m. Aug. 16.
