Thirty-six of West Virginia’s 55 counties are in red or orange on the county alert map and only three are left in green. State Department of Health and Human Resources’ officials posted the map Tuesday, showing seven counties in red including Wayne, Logan, and Clay. Twenty-nine counties were in orange including Kanawha, Putnam, Cabell, Lincoln, and Boone. The only three counties left in green were Summers, Wirt and Tucker.
