Practice is underway for many high school sports teams, and Bernie Dolan, executive director for the West Virginia Secondary School Activities Commission, said officials have recommended that high school athletes get vaccinated. Each county will ultimately decide on its own rules. They’re also recommending that athletes stay in smaller groups and cut down on sharing certain items. Health officials will continue to monitor the situation as fall sports continue.
