A Lewis County Sheriff’s Deputy shot and killed a robbery suspect after a high speed chase that ended in Weston. The suspect tried to rob a Hot Spot and led police on a chase. He rammed a police cruiser before officers used stop sticks to end the pursuit. Then he took off on foot and tried to take a man hostage who was mowing his lawn. That man shoved him to the ground, and the suspect tried to shoot at officers. They returned fire and killed the suspect. No officers were hurt.
