Mountain Health Deals With Capacity Issues

Mountain Health Network officials are warning that their hospitals have reached an all-time high level of COVID-19 patients, most of them unvaccinated. Both Cabell Huntington Hospital and St. Mary’s Medical Center had a combined total of 115 patients hospitalized last week going beyond the previous peak of 109 in December 2020. The hospital network said 97% of these patients are unvaccinated. Mountain Health Network officials are asking people who need medical attention for minor injuries and illnesses; such as sprains, simple fractures, and minor cuts and burns to go to their urgent care facilities.
