An annual fall festival in Tucker County has joined the growing list of events to be canceled due to COVID-19. The 2021 Leaf Peepers Festival, an annual celebration of fall foliage in Tucker County, as been canceled, according to an announcement from the Alpine Festival Board. Organizers said the move was made after deliberation among the board and a discussion with the county health department. A 2022 date for the festival has been scheduled for Sept. 23-25.
