West Virginia Has More Than 1000 Active Delta Variant Cases

West Virginia health officials reported 11 new COVID-19 deaths and 1,632 new positive cases between Wednesday and Thursday. The state Department of Health and Human Resources reported active cases were 18,177 on Thursday. The most recent deaths included a 60-year-old man from Kanawha County, an 82-year-old man from Putnam County, a 72-year-old woman from Putnam County, an 81-year-old man from Cabell County, and a 68-year-old man from Cabell County. COVID-19 Delta variant cases were up to 1,114.
