Charleston Area Medical Center says it’s in disaster mode when it comes to record keeping. CAMC confirms it is relaxing some electronic record-keeping standards because of staffing shortages and patient overload brought on by COVID. Nurses now focus mainly on patient care and deal with electronic record keeping when they can. The hospital says the emergency declaration does not change the standard of care.
