Huntington Announces Finalists for Police Chief

The city of Huntington has narrowed its search for a new police chief to two people. Karl Colder, is retired from the U.S. Department of Justice’s Drug Enforcement Administration, and current Huntington Police Lt. Phil Watkins is also a finalist for the job, according to the city of Huntington’s Facebook page. Colder has 32 years of career leadership and professional investigative experience with the U.S. Department of Justice’s Drug Enforcement Administration. Watkins has been an officer with the Huntington Police Department for 22 years. Capt. Eric Corder has been serving as the city the interim police chief since the July 2 retirement of Ray Cornwell as police chief.
