Charleston Mayor Amy Goodwin is asking Governor Justice and leaders in the House and Senate to call a special session to tackle substance abuse, homelessness and mental health. Goodwin says the problems existed long before COVID, but have gotten exponentially worse over the last eighteen months. She’s asking lawmakers to consider seven different action items.
