Mingo Road Rage Case Moves to a Grand Jury

A Mingo County magistrate found probable cause to send a second-degree murder charge against a Florida trucker accused in a road rage killing to the grand jury. James Armstrong was arrested on Oct. 7 after he allegedly shot and killed Eric Sammons during an incident on Route 119 near Route 52. Armstrong’s attorney said his client acted in self-defense. Magistrate David Justice said there was enough evidence to send the case to circuit court and have a grand jury determine next steps.
