Three-fourths of Kanawha County Has Received at Least One Vaccine

Kanawha County health officials said 75% of eligible residents have now received at least one vaccination dose. Dr. Sherri Young, interim health officer and executive director of the Kanawha-Charleston Health Department called it a milestone. The DHHR said more than 116-thousand in Kanawha County have received at least one dose of vaccine. In West Virginia, a total of 64% of eligible residents 12 and over have received at least one dose of vaccine. Vaccines are available Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Kanawha-Charleston Health Department, 108 Lee St. E. in Charleston. Seasonal flu vaccines also are available.
