Tips Wanted After Logan Fire Injures Two Firefighters

Logan County deputies said a $5,000 reward is being offered for the arrest and conviction of the person who started a fire at an apartment building in Logan that injured two firefighters. Deputies said the fire at the Yuma Suites Apartment Building on Route 44, just south of Logan, was reported about 4 a.m. Sunday. The building is a total loss and a nearby structure was also damaged. Firefighters said one firefighter fell through the second story of the building and a piece of metal went through his boot and became lodged in his foot. They also said another firefighter injured his hand. Both are recovering from those injuries. Deputies said the building was vacant and that no utilities were hooked up at the time of the fire.
