Construction on I-64 near Nitro is slowing down your commute with narrow lanes and lane shifts. Starting today eastbound lanes will see a new traffic pattern. The new pattern will affect drivers between the Winfield and Nitro exits. The speed will slow to 55 mph through the work zone, and both lanes will become narrower and shift. The project is expected to be finished in the fall of 2024.
