Huntington has its new police chief. Karl Colder has 32 years of career leadership and professional investigative experience with the U.S. Department of Justice’s Drug Enforcement Administration, according to Mayor Steve Williams. Since retiring, Colder has served as the president of Colder Allied Consulting LLC and teaches in Loudon County, Virginia, where he prepares students for jobs in law enforcement and criminal justice. Colder replaces Acting Chief Eric Corder who took the reins following the retirement of former Chief Ray Cornwell.
