A fire started in a camper behind a a gas station in Mason County around 5:00 a.m. Sunday and several agencies including the Valley Volunteer Fire Department responded. The woman who lived in the camper called 911, and by the time firefighters arrived at Milt Tripplett’s along Route 2 the fire had already spread to a nearby apartment. One of the apartment buildings is considered a total loss, and there is damage to the convenience store and another apartment has smoke and water damage. The cause of the fire was an electrical inside the camper.
